MSSA -- CELEBRATING 40 YEARS OF SYNCHRO IN MISSISSAUGA!!
SUMMER CAMPS
#1) New Swimmer Summer Camp
MSSA's summer camp is a great way for girls to try synchronized swimming for a week...learn new synchro skills, make some new friends and learn a routine to show off at the end of the week!!
8:30-11:30 am daily with supervision until noon
A healthy snack will be provided daily

#2) UTM Conditioning for Competitive Swimmers
It is highly recommended that swimmers DO NOT take the summer off!!
AUGUST -- Thursdays 5,12,19 & 26th
MSSA will have 1/2 of pool. Maximum number of swimmers is 25.
- Pool time will consist of 40 minutes conditioning/laps, 20 miniutes body positions
- Please be on deck changed and ready to go, 10 minutes early!!
Swimmers register via email to Debbie (dstanton@cogeco.ca) a minimum of 24 hrs in advance. Mail cheques 2 weeks prior to 79 Buttercup Cres. Waterdown L0R2H8 or bring first night.
Registration forms from tryouts can be used as registration for this camp. Parent must initial sign-up sheet to confirm that all info is correct.
Register for One Week: $45
Register for Two Weeks: $84($42/wk)
Register for Three Weeks: $120($40/wk)
Register for Four Weeks: $148($37/wk)
#3) Conditioning Camp for Competitive Swimmers
--Strongly Recommended

MSSA will be hosting its popular 2 FREE weeks of synchro lessons again on:Sept 12, 15, 19 and 23 this upcoming fall.
A great way to try the sport of synchronized swimming before our fall programs start later in September.

SWIM SHOW CELEBRATES 40 YEARS OF MSSA
June 13, 2010. Huron Park, Mississauga
Mississauga's Mayor Hazel McCallion joined us as we celebrated our 40th Anniversary with a spectacular end of the year swim show. The show featured routines from over 100 swimmers in Novice, Provincial, National, Masters and Unique Athlete programs. Mayor McCallion brought greetings from the City Council and an official certificate honouring this significant anniversary. During her speech, she commented on the success of the MSSA program and praised our "Mississauga Ambassadors" for their dedication, physical fitness and discipline. The festivities included a delicious official anniversary cake. Congratulations to all of our MSSA swimmers and coaches for a fantastic show!
2010 Variety Village Invitational
We had seven MSSA club teams swimming at this Routine-Only Competition.
All teams swam very well and gained some valuable experience.
2010 Central North Regional Championships
Our Provincial Tier Teams travelled to Sudbury and competed March 26-28.
Two teams won their Land Drill Competitions. Two teams came away with
Silver Medals in the Team competition, with the other two teams also finishing
in the top 4!!
Way to Go!!
2010 Eastern/Atlantic Championships
Our National Tier 6 (15 and Under) and Tier 6 (Open) Teams competed
in Quebec City from March 10-14.
All three teams swam very well against excellent competition.

2010 Ontario Winter Games
Our National Tier 6 (15 and Under) Team was in Gold Medal winning form at the 2010 Ontario Winter Games in Bracebridge on March 7.
MSSA teams also swam to Gold in the Solo and Duet categories.

Rec/Novice Team Demo Night
On January 31, we were treated to a whole new crop of swimmers showing off their moves at our Winter Rec Demo night!

MSSA is Burning Bright for Breast Cancer
On Sunday, October 25th MSSA participated in the 6th Annual Burning Bright for Breast Cancer fundraiser that occured across Ontario as part of a Synchro Ontario event. The fundraiser was run at both Huron Park and Erin Meadows pools and was a great success!
A special thanks goes out to Amanda, one of our 16 & over Provincial swimmers who organized the whole event at both pools!! This included communications, decorations, signs - she did a great job!
Thank you to all the swimmers, their parents, the coaches and to all the volunteers who helped make the event a success.
