Successful Trip to Ottawa for Tier 6 Provincial Trials!
On January 21st 2006, MSSA’s two tier 6 teams traveled by bus to the Nepean Sportsplex in Nepean, Ont, for the Tier 6 Provincial Trials. At this two day meet, both Meaghan’s and Debbie’s teams showed strong performances for their first national stream competition of the 2006 season. Meaghan’s team swam a lively, dynamic routine to the “Mambo Italiano” medley, and finished to a fantastic second place. Debbie’s team, new to the national stream, “wowed” the crowd with an extraordinary performance to “Steve Allen’s 25th Anniversary Jubilee”, and placed third. Everyone agreed that MSSA had an excellent showing, with energetic, focused and very synchronized swimming. Even the Coach driver, Anderson, was cheering for our teams. He decided to stay and watch the entire competition, and promised to shave his legs after he demonstrated his splits to become an honorary member of team MSSA! Our congratulations go out to our talented and dedicated MSSA Tier 6 athletes and coaches. Your hard work is evident, and we wish you the best of luck for the next competition, the Provincials, at the Etobicoke Olympium on February 17 to 19th.
